Trout City is now open. We are in the middle of brewing our first batches of Trout City beer, which will be available Labor Day weekend. We are excited to welcome customers to our newly renovated space, in this historic building nestled in the heart of Downtown Preston, Minnesota. ​ Trout City Brewing is a family-owned brewpub based on the idea of serving "just good beer." Located on the Root River, our small town of Preston has rightfully earned its name as Minnesota’s Trout Capital. Drawing anglers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts for generations, Preston is home to good people – and good beer. Our historic community was founded in the 1850s. While this brewery traces its roots back to 2018, the building that houses it is more than 125 years old! That’s what first inspired owners and longtime Preston residents Anita & Andy Bisek, who restore old houses and buildings. When they had an opportunity to purchase and renovate the space that now holds Trout City Brewing, they jumped at the chance. Our menu reflects the confluence of Anita’s Nordic ancestry and Andy’s Czech heritage. You’re family when you’re here in the Fillmore County seat, so when we see your empty glass, we’ll do just that: fill more. ​ ​
