With special brewer's yeasts, a lot of malt and at least 4 months of storage, we achieve very high alcohol levels. As a result, the carbon dioxide content and foam shelf life are rather low, but the aroma profile is very interesting and the beers are very dark. Our Eisbock are matured using the age-old Eisbock process. The beers are cooled down, the resulting ice is filtered off, what remains is a flavorful Eisbock. Schorschbräu beers are priced significantly higher than other beers, but consider their strength, which is similar to liquor. Opened bottles can be enjoyed for several weeks. So you don't have to drink a whole bottle right away. Don't expect a light pilsner / Hell / or export flavor. Here comes a fiery-dark, fruity-malty beer enjoyment, small sips are recommended. Enjoy our beers well chilled at around 5 degrees Celsius from bulbous glasses (Shery glasses are ideal). Only max. Half pour and then let the beer "breathe" for 1-2 minutes to develop the aroma. Enjoyment begins with the nose, so first prepare your tongue for this complex aromatic experience by smelling it intensely.
