The first written mention of the company dates back to 1499, when the house was bought by maltster Vít Skřemenec. U Fleků Brewery is one of the few breweries in Central Europe where beer has been brewed for more than 500 years without a break. With the advent of communism, the company was nationalized. The original owners (Brtník family) recovered it after the fall of the regime in 1991. At the spot The atmosphere of the ancient house is underlined by the decoration and stylish furnishings of the guest rooms and all the halls. From the most famous and distinctive hall of the Academy, where famous figures of Czech culture met in the last century, through Wenceslas Square with colorful stained glass windows to the Knight's Hall, decorated and furnished in a romantic spirit. In eight halls and in the outdoor garden, our brewery restaurant offers a pleasant seating for more than 1,200 visitors. Fig. 1 For many guests we are the pilgrimage site of Prague and Czech beer makers. Others see us as an interesting historical monument and the most famous Prague pub. The U Fleků brewery and restaurant is also a culinary experience. The staff of our modern kitchen will satisfy the requirements of even the finest gourmets by offering traditional Czech dishes. This makes the Flek restaurant ideal for themed celebrations, banquets, cocktails, corporate events, New Year celebrations and social gatherings. In the Cabaret Hall we will be happy to prepare a cultural or musical program for you, which we will take care of in terms of program and gastronomy.
