About
The Mill House Brewing Company opened as a brewpub in November 2013, in the Historic Mill House that has, for many years, been a watering hole and restaurant for the citizens of Poughkeepsie and the surrounding areas. The rehabilitated 1820’s brick house is now home to a 7 Barrel single-infusion system, built by Portland Kettle Works, along side a restaurant that seats over 250+ guests. Mill House Brewing Company has long focused on creating Local Craft Beers, with World Class Flavor. At MHBC, where art & science meet, it’s important to understand our humble beginnings. Jamie Bishop and Lawrence Stock, are Two best friends brewing better beer. From the Days in the basement of Jamie’s Hudson Valley home, to brewing over 600 barrels in the first year at MHBC, the two have continually focused on creating beers that are not only seasonally varied, but have classic integrity. An American Brewers Guild graduate in 2014, Mill House Brewing Company continually strives to create better beer, with in-house lab testing, water recipes, and house yeast strain cultivation. They are true masters of their craft, brewing 25 uniquely different beers to date, with many more on the way! Mill House Brewing Company has enjoyed much success since 2013. The Brewpub was awarded Top 100 Hot Spots in American from OpenTable dining, Hudson Valley Magazine Best New Restaurant and Bar Menu, Hudson River Craft Brew Fest “People’s Choice” in 2013/2014, as well as countless other accolades. With the brewer owners, restaurateur partner Daniel Crocco, and boutique development firm RL Baxter Building, the team looks to spread their wings even more in 2015. With a 20bbl brewhouse on the horizon this year, Mill House Brewing Company is dedicated to bringing Local Craft, and World Class Flavor to the world. Prost!
