About

Initially, the Devil's Mare was an orchard, followed by a leather goods store and then a school. In 1877, the school separated into different houses. In 1890, the house currently representing the Devil 's Pond was entirely covered with bricks to give it the look of today's Victorian style. Around the 1950s, the house had several vocations: offices of doctors, dentists, architects. In 1972, she became a jeweler, then a bar called "Jazz'rie". La Mare au diable was born in July 2003 as a "brew pubs", which means that the brewing of the beer is done directly from where it is sold to the customers (this is called micro-brewery in everyday language). Come and enjoy our house specialties in a warm setting with a locally made micro-brew beer . La Mare au Diable, the only establishment located in the heart of downtown Sherbrooke offering you as much diversity.
