About
Kyle and Brad Jukes had been home-brewing for almost a decade before they and their parents decided to take it commercial with Jukes Ale Works. Kyle has studied brewing and has brewed professionally at Upstream and Infusion, both local Omaha breweries. The entire family, including parents Guy and Terri and brother Jake, have a deep love of craft beer and the ‘beer people’ who brew it. Regulars at beer festivals, brew pubs, and any other venue that promotes and sells craft brews, the Jukes love the vibrant culture and diverse atmosphere that surrounds the beer-brewing community. The Jukes had wanted to share their love of brewing with Olde Towne Elkhorn for some time. The family has lived in the area since the ‘70s and all of the Jukes children have graduated from Elkhorn schools and been involved with numerous sports within the system. They have always loved the friendly atmosphere that invokes memories of a simpler time and enjoyed the colorful past that comes alive in historic buildings and unique train viewing areas. They purchased the building, which was the former home of Merlin’s small engine repair shop, in hopes of converting it to their new brewery. However, once they realized the building could not be remodeled adequately for their needs, they decided to tear it down and build their own to house Jukes Ale Works. Merlin’s Cream Ale, a Jukes brew, is a dedication to Merlin and his contribution to the Elkhorn community. Opening in the fall of 2019, Jukes Ale Works is a brewery and kitchen that will have a full menu as well as 19 beers on tap. Six of those beers will be available year-round while the remaining will be seasonal and specialty brews. The entire Jukes family is proud to share their labor of love with the entire Omaha community and with craft beer lovers throughout the country.
