Betty and Dave first moved to West Asheville over a decade ago. Not long after they decided to give homesteading a shot, so they bought a log cabin out in the Spring Creek area of Hot Springs. After many years of maintaining 15 acres of land, growing a plethora of fruits and veggies, and dabbling in all kinds of fermentation, they fulfilled their goal of self-sufficiency and were ready for a new chapter. Wanting to stay near friends and family, they were drawn back to West Asheville. One of their dreams has always been to have a small brewery. So when a brewery came up for sale just two miles down the road from them, they jumped at the opportunity and Diatribe Brewing was born!
