At one time, St. Cloud was the home of six local breweries, but with the closing of the last one in 1939, local brewing became a thing of the past. Until now. Nick Barth and Matt Studer, two avid homebrewers and passionate entrepreneurs, have teamed up with local professional brewmaster Chris Laumb to launch Beaver Island Brewing Company—a venture that will revive the rich tradition of brewing in St. Cloud.
