Anvil & Forge came to fruition in late 2018 out of passion for local craft beer and distilled products. Brothers and business partners Mike, John, and Adam Zerkle opened the doors of Anvil & Forge in historic downtown Springfield, IL. offering craft coffee, handcrafted beer with small batch craft distilled products soon to be available to our guests too. We love great beer and creating an atmosphere that people want to be a part of. In our hearts and minds - that starts locally, we grew up in Springfield and we wanted to share our craft with the community. So, we have always had a local first mentality, we used local and American made (USA!) products in the build out of our taproom. The brewing equipment is manufactured right here in Illinois and our still was made in the heart of bourbon country by one of the largest copper still makers out there.
