About
23 Brewing Co. is East Kentucky's first brewery and will provide delicious, local, hand-crafted beer to the great people that inhabit the Bluegrass State. Our name, 23 Brewing Company, is inspired by the well-known Route 23. US Route 23 stretches all the way from Jacksonville, Florida to Mackinaw City, Michigan, and as you probably know, goes directly through our home here in Prestonsburg, KY. Inspired by the region and its inhabitants, as well as countless other things, our beers are crafted to celebrate our local heritage, traditions, history, and more simply; to celebrate beer. We will be the first brewery to open in this area, but hopefully won't be the last. We want to bring craft beer culture, which is taking hold in many small towns, to this area. We want to show people that there are other equally (dare we say more?) delicious beers to experience other than the mass-marketed stuff.
