Fogtown was founded in 2017 in Ellsworth, Maine by long time friends Jon Stein and Ian Heyse, who wanted to create a community space to foster art, music, education, craft food and drink, and all-around good vibes. Fogtown is located just outside of Acadia National Park, and we are continuously inspired by the rugged coast and local agriculture in our state. We currently use 100% Maine-grown base malt, copious Maine-grown Cascade hops, and have sourced most of our brewing equipment from Maine as well! Our diverse tap list includes barrel-aged sours fermented with locally foraged berries, stouts brewed with organic Maine oats, refreshing lagers brewed with heritage Maine malts, and IPAs made with fresh, whole cone Maine-grown Cascade hops, and whatever else we can dream up. The Fogtown tasting room hosts local and original live music, open mics, craft nights, charitable fundraising events, arm wrestling competitions, and homebrewing courses, and more.
